On the Slow Edge Autumn

Grassland Diaries-Autumn Glory

As an artist who lives on the edge of the woods. I take my inspiration from the natural world, from the glorious Botanical Kingdom. And Autumn is one of my artistic high points each year. But this year Summer has been unusually long and lovely. Here we are at the far end of October, surrounded mostly by green trees and roses in bloom. Like an awkward social situation, it is hard to know what to say, where to look. Autumn is coming slowly this year and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. Actually, we can pull our sweaters and jackets out of the deep recesses of our closets and take a stand. Enough is enough. As an artist,I can pick up my tools, gather my inspiration and simply begin to create my autumnal art. I am hoping the inspiration will work in reverse and I will be able to inspire Mother Nature to create her glorious Autumn Art
