Another Slow Spring

Every Year at this time I seem to need to discuss once again how long it takes Spring to arrive here in Northeast Ohio. Some years I have been poetic about it, while other years I have been very annoyed and worse. This year I was glad to have a new series of my cast paper assemblages to work on as I waited for Spring to take root. I guess I am finally maturing.

Here in Ohio, we had our first hard winter in several years. Snow arriving in feet instead of inches and temperatures single digit and below. I was so grateful for my creative life and my home studio. It is a wonderful thing to be able to stay home and create “new worlds”.

Sometimes, in the middle of the night, when I was suffering from insomnia,I would tip toe across the hall and lose myself in a moment of wonderful creation.
